Hours per week: 35

Responsibilities:

-Teaching nursing students in maternal child/pediatric, and/or medical-surgical settings
-Providing supervision and mentorship in classroom,clinical, and/or lab settings
-Seeks excellence in teaching by applying and evaluating various teaching strategies
-Encourages and fosters an environment of inquiry valuing evidence-informed practice
-Engages as a member of a larger faculty team in the development and implementation of effective teaching strategies and initiatives
-Participate in scholarship of teaching and learning and/or Applied Research activities

Required Qualifications:

-Minimum 5 years recent acute clinical experience in above-identified nursing areas
-Minimum of 3 years clinical teaching experience in identified nursing areas
-Master’s degree required for full-time continuing instructor position
-Eligible for/Current CARNA registration
-Class 5 drivers license for travel to clinical sites

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience according to the Faculty Collective Agreement.
