Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Employee Health & Safety, this Regular Full Time position is responsible for providing leadership and support for the health and safety program including disability management, Health & Safety committee activities, health promotion programs, and provides clinical services such as employee immunization and health screening. The Employee Health & Safety Nurse also provides training, conducts safety inspections and audits, and promotes the awareness of health and safety service programs throughout Carewest.

  • Graduation from a recognized nursing program
  • Currently enrolled in or certified in Occupational Health Nursing
  • Current and active registration with College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) required
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required
  • Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience required and experience in -occupational health & safety and/or disability management
  • Computer skills required
